Chris Carter has over 20 years experience in the electronics industry and is the owner and founder of The Digital TV Consultancy. The Digital TV Consultancy provides marketing services to the digital consumer electronics industry, particularly in the areas of set-top box, DTV, mobile TV and semiconductors.

Previously Chris Carter worked for STMicroelectronics for 14 years where he was a Business Unit Director in ST's Retail Multimedia Systems Division. In this role he built a team in China to put together set top box (STB) and DVD systems - both hardware and software - to add value to the semiconductor offering. Prior to that he was responsible for the worldwide marketing of ST's satellite and terrestrial STB semiconductor products - a business where ST is the market leader. This activity included driving the product definition in addition to leading the team that managed the products. Whilst at ST, as well as working in the UK and France, Chris Carter spent 2 years in Singapore developing business in the Asia-Pacific region.
