Telefunken brand of flat wireless digital TVs ready for market using ViXS WaveTV™ reference design

SEPTEMBER 1, 2006 - ViXS Systems, the leading provider of video processors and wireless ICs, announced today that its ViXS WaveTV™ reference design is being used for the launch of Europe’s first line of wireless digital flat TVs.

The 37’’, 42’’ and 50’’ HD televisions are equipped with wireless functionality designed using ViXS’ WaveTV™ reference design which means viewers are no longer restricted by unsightly cables or the need to plug televisions into entertainment units. The new line-up from the Telefunken brand of TVs enables viewers to hang TVs on a wall and, being wireless, the TVs can be easily moved from room-to-room in a house without the fuss of stringing wires and cables through walls.
